Stephanie Passos

Stephanie Passos is a 20-year-old journalism student at the University of Florida. She moved from Rio de Janeiro, Brazil in 2021 to start her college journey in the U.S. and has since then fallen in love with the idea of traveling and learning about different cultures.

In 2023, Stephanie had the opportunity to live in Paris for 4 months. The journalism student could sharpen her French in the real world after spending two semesters taking introductory classes at UF. Living in Europe, Stephanie could more easily travel to eccentric cities like Turin, Prague and Mykonos. However, there is one big city she did not got to know, London.

That won’t be a problem anymore, as Stephanie is about to spend three weeks in the old continent. Based in London, she plans on exploring culture beyond the Royal Family and fish and chips. This website will record all her discoveries through her blog posts, photos and videos she takes during this study abroad. She is also excited to spend sometime in Crete, Greece for the program’s last days. The sunny weather of summer will be the perfect scenario to live a real “Mamma Mia” experience in the Greek island. It sounds like vacay, but it is actually school time still. While there, the journalism student will be sharpening her storytelling skills through excellent faculty from the University of Florida teaching classes on video editing and travel reporting.
